Why Rolfing®?
Rolfing® Structural Integration is more than just bodywork — it’s a system for long-term change. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic tension, healing from injury, or simply wanting to move through life with more ease, Rolfing® offers a unique pathway to restore balance and freedom in your body.
What Is Rolfing®?
Rolfing® is a hands-on form of manual therapy that reorganizes the body’s connective tissue (fascia) to improve posture, alignment, and movement. Developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf, this work is grounded in the idea that the human body functions best when it is properly aligned in gravity.
Unlike massage, which focuses on muscle relaxation, Rolfing® works to reshape the underlying patterns of tension in the body. By freeing restrictions in the fascia, Rolfing® helps the body release old compensations, stand taller, move more fluidly, and breathe more deeply.
Why People Turn to Rolfing®
Chronic Pain Relief
Tension patterns and poor alignment can put constant strain on the body. Rolfing® addresses the root cause of pain by restoring balance to the entire structure, rather than just treating symptoms.
Recovery from Injury
After an injury, the body often develops compensatory patterns that persist long after the initial trauma heals. Rolfing® helps unwind these patterns and restore natural function.
Athletic Performance
Rolfing® can improve mobility, coordination, and efficiency of movement — whether you’re a professional athlete or a weekend runner. Mason brings his background as a Division I athlete and personal trainer into every session to help you move at your best.
Better Posture & Alignment
Slouching, collapsed arches, forward head posture — these are more than just cosmetic issues. They affect how we move, breathe, and feel. Rolfing® helps realign the body so it can function more naturally and with less effort.
Emotional and Somatic Release
Tension isn’t just physical — it’s also emotional. Our bodies hold stories, experiences, and stress. Many clients report a deep sense of emotional release, clarity, or calm after a session.
A Holistic Approach to Healing
Mason’s work is shaped not only by Rolfing®, but also by a lifelong immersion in natural healing. Trained from an early age by his father, Dr. John Douillard — a chiropractor and Ayurvedic practitioner — Mason brings a grounded, whole-person approach to every session. He meets each client where they are, working with intention and care to support lasting transformation.
As Mason often says:
“Rolfing® isn’t just about change — it’s about returning to the way your body is meant to feel.”
Is Rolfing® Right for You?
You don’t need to be in pain to benefit from Rolfing®. Many people come in simply wanting to feel more connected to their bodies, more upright, more grounded. Others are navigating a specific issue — back pain, scoliosis, repetitive strain, athletic performance blocks, or stress-related tension.
Whether you’re navigating something acute or chronic, or simply want to feel more at home in your body, Rolfing® may be a powerful tool for your journey.
